   BioCep

BioCep has developed an improved method of separation of immuno-magnetic marked cells.  Its patented Cell Enrichment Process can be applied in numerous medical processes, bringing exceptional benefits to each. BioCep chose to initially focus on the applications of pre natal screening, as well as stem cell separation and enrichment.

  BioLert

BioLert Ltd. is developing a reliable, user friendly, Epilepsy Seizures Alert watch-like device (EpiLert), that will alert caregivers to the onset of an epilepsy attack, thus ensuring prompt help and improving the quality of life of the patients as well as their families.

BioSpiral

BioSpiral develops innovative, minimally invasive, thermal ablation technology platform, suitable for the physician office setting. Its initial focus is on prostate cancer, offering the patient high quality of life and outpatient treatment. Future applications include treatment for other cancers (Liver, Kidney, Breast), Esthetics (Varicose Veins, Breast),  and women health (Endometrial ablation, Uterine fibroids, Breast Fibroadenoma).

CardioSigns

CardioSigns is developing a unique non-invasive wrist device that monitors continuously the haemodynamics of the CardioVascular system, for early detection of CardioVascular disease and for assisting in hypertension's treatments by medication. Target markets include ICUs, hospital departments, hypertension and cardiology clinics, GP offices, ambulatory BP monitoring (ABPM) and Telehealth home use. A provisional patent application was submitted in 2008. Second-generation prototype is being tested at Rambam Medical Center’s nephrology and ICU departments.

 CartiCure

CartiCure develops the technology aimed at full recovery of damaged knee cartilage, reducing the currently inevitable outcome of total knee replacement. The technology is based on a cartilage membrane produced of porcine cartilage cells that grow and fill the articular lesion with 100% hyaline cartilage in approx. 6 months.

ElfiTech

Elfi-Tech is developing in-vivo non-invasive blood circulation monitoring devices. As a first project, Elfi-Tech is developing a non-invasive medical device to allow for prompt and frequent estimation of blood coagulation, a critical measurement in clinical cardiovascular care.  The Elfi-Tech blood coagulation monitor will offer superior advantages, such as real-time continuous monitoring, as well as more accurate dosing management of blood thinning medication. Several pending patents and very unique know-how create a high IP and technological protecting barrier.

      CogniFit

CogniFit develops and markets software to enhance basic cognitive skills such as memory, perception and attention. The Company uses patented, scientifically validated technology and is focused on improving quality of life through the assessment and training of cognitive skills across various segments of the population.

GeneGrafts

GeneGrafts is a biotechnology company developing proprietary technology, based on transplantation of cell grafts, isolated from the patient own body, for modulating excitable tissues (e.g. Brain, Heart). This new paradigm can be used for the treatment of various diseases including Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders, as well as cardiac arrhythmias. The company is currently conducting a GLP-monkey study at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Green Gold Algae and Seaweed Sciences (GGASS)

Green Gold Algae and Seaweed Sciences (GGASS) mission is to become a world leader in the cultivation and use of macro algae for biofuel from land-based, scalable artificial pond production facilities using proprietary cost-effective technologies. GGASS is focusing on growing macro algae, and is currently working on utilizing macro algae as a source for bio-ethanol. Seaweeds are very reach in carbohydrates, have thin cellulose walls, and consume considerable amounts of CO2, and are hence the optimal source for 2nd generation biomass for ethanol.

   Guide-X

Guide-X is developing a miniature robotic system for steering under CT, fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance, a flexible needle in soft tissue. The Guide-X technology is a platform for precise percutaneous needle placement for biopsy and therapeutic treatments.

  Innoventions

Innoventions is developing a unique proprietary minimal invasive drug/device combination to treat urge incontinence, superficial bladder cancer and other unsolved problems of the bladder.

   Inspire MD

InspireMD develops manufactures and sells stents with outstanding effectiveness and lower risks as compared to current stenting procedures. Its MGuard™ system is an expandable, flexible fishnet style, micron level knit sleeve that wraps the stent.  Its fiber width is smaller than a typical endothelial cell, and is therefore transparent to the endothelial process and to platelet cells. It is designed to diffuse stent pressure and reduce injury to vessels, prevent plaque dislodgment and block debris from entering the bloodstream, provide uniform coverage of the arterial wall, as a superior drug delivery platform, as well as induce smooth, stable endothelial growth, essential for prompt healing.

   LabOnNet

LabOnNet develops specialized solutions for optimization of DNA tests for diagnostics and research. The company is currently developing Kineret, a software solution that enhances the accuracy of DNA test results based on real-time PCR. This enables standardized and optimized evidence-based decision making, currently a major bottleneck in the real-time PCR market.

Medic Vision Brain Technologies

Medic Vision is developing a system that dramatically improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for CT/MRI medical images aiming to reduce CT radiation by at least 80% and shorten MRI scan time by at least 50%. In addition, Medic Vision is developing Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) system for the interpretation of brain CT/MRI medical images.

   NexSig

NexSig has developed a software which assesses cognitive state through the measurement and analysis of biometric signals, during a self-administered computerized test. It is currently marketing its flagship product, NexAde™, focusing initially on the healthcare market and later on the booming wellness market.  The technology draws on expertise in neurology, neuropsychology, human-computer interaction and signal processing.

Odem Medical

Odem Medical is developing innovative tools for the treatment of cardiac asynchrony disorders for use in treatment of ventricular desynchrony in systolic heart failure patients, via a novel minimally invasive epicardial approach.

 Renewed Mineral Waters

Renewed Mineral Waters (patented) technology, developed by the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, produces stable, mineral enriched desalinated water at a very low cost. The post treatment technology utilizes the Calcium and Magnesium present in the seawater, concentrated by the desalination process, in combination with Calcite dissolution by Sulfuric Acid, to selectively introduce the desired amounts of Calcium and Magnesium.

RescueDose

Rescue Dose is developing an innovative system for the automation of computing and drawing of dosages and dilution of liquid medications with computerized control for critical care to improve patient safety and decrease errors.

T3-Technion Technology Transfer

T3 is the commercial arm of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technion. T3  initiates and promotes the transfer to the global marketplace of research findings and innovative technologies developed by Technion scientists. Among T3 responsibilities: analysis of new inventions and concepts, protecting and maintenance of IP, IP licensing, negotiation and approval of the IP and business aspects of agreements with industry, incorporation of spin-off companies based on Technion IP  and participation in the board of directors of Technion affiliated companies.
