Argo is operated by a team of six experts and two subcontractors. The company is assisted by an Advisory Board of leading professionals in the fields of medicine, biomedical engineering, robotics and marketing, both in Israel and USA. Located at the Technion Incubator (TEIC) in Haifa, Israel.
DEFIB
deFib successfully developed a novel technology for storing electrical energy with a primary application for cardiac defibrillators whose dimensions are therefore reduced dramatically. Without compromising on functionality, the Company developed the first truly wearable and miniaturized defibrillator which is slightly larger than an i-Pod.
DYNATOMICS
Dynatomics is dedicated to the development of diagnostic systems for the purposes of pediatric screening, follow up and early diagnosis of vast range of pathologic entities that affects the child head dimensions and shape.
Dynatomics has developed the Dynatomics 5000, providing 2D analysis of skull dimensions with high sensitivity and specificity. Future products include DynaHead 3D (providing a three dimensional analysis of the skull, allowing for higher specificity), and Software packages for Neurosurgeons and craniofacial surgeons.
LEOREX
Leorex is a nanotechnology, dermoceuticalc ompany with novel patented technology and products. Leorex technology has several unique core properties including: 1) A task-oriented nano-particles self-organizing fractal structure, which creates a sophisticated nano-network corresponding to the electrical and hydrophobic- hydrophilic skin surface map; and 2) Ability to create various versions of such structures with selective affinity to different skin areas and with predetermined functions depending on the local skin feature, at the "point of contact". Today Leorex has three lines of products. The next-generation infrastructure includes self-manufacturing of task oriented engineered nano-particles, enabling new nano-structures unlike those created today. These advanced nano-structures will work as an ensemble of nanodevices to solve specific skin problem with new physical capabilities.
LEVRAM MEDICAL SYSTEMS, LTD.
Levram is developing the "Physiological Cardiac Assist Device" (PCAD), a novel minimally invasive cardiac assist pump and system to slow and even stop deterioration of the mechanical function of the failing heart at an early stage [Class III and Class IV] among a wide segment of the hundreds of thousands of sufferers yearly, for whom present treatment is ineffective.
MAYA-BIOTECH LTD.
Maya-Biotech Ltd. has developed a new medical kit for healing and preventing Mouth Ulcers: Aftakit™, Chemokit™, in an innovative SMS Packaging™. The medications are based on a known cytoprotective molecule, which binds to the open proteins of the ulcer, creating a protective barrier from further insult. In addition it changes the electrical field of the mucosa, thus protecting it from further damage.
NEXSIG NEUROLOGICAL EXAMINATION TECH.
NexSig develops and markets an adaptive diagnostic system for the early detection of neurological disorders. The company’s products are advanced expert systems that measure and analyze biometric signals in real time through self-administered computerized tests. NexSig product, NexAde (patent pending), is aimed at one of the most painful health, social, and community problems: Alzheimer’s disease (AD). NexAde technology draws on expertise in neurology, neurophysiology, human-computer interaction, signal processing, and machine learning. In the past six years, NexSig has conducted two clinical studies enrolling more than 1,500 elderly subjects.
